Primary Schools- Darts for Y5/6 Students
In February 2014, we launched our darts for primary school students program. The idea is to offer local primary schools, the chance to visit Sponne and play darts, in 5/6-week taster courses. The program will give students the chance to play darts, which is not only fun but encourages mental arithmetic skills and aids hand-eye co-ordination. Sessions ran Thursdays, from 3.45-4.45pm.
The next opportunity for primary school students to play darts at Sponne, will during the New Intake day from 3.05-4.15pm on Thursday 3rd July 2014.

2. Nicholas Hawksmoor Primary School

Pupils from Nicholas Hawksmoor were next to attend Primary Schools Darts Sessions, taking part in lots of practice games using target sheets and practice rings. In the final week tournament, Sam narrowly took victory, by scoring the most points in games using the practice rings and 201.
1. Towcester Church of England Primary School

Pupils from Towcester Primary School were the first to attend our Primary Schools Darts Sessions. They all enjoyed the weekly opportunity to play darts and compete in various games and practice routines lead by Sponne student Craeg Doggett. On the sixth and final week, they competed in a 101, SISO round robin competition. Jacob and Ben reached the final, throwing very consistent darts. Jacob proved a cut above in the final, winning 2-0. He used his maths skills to full effect, to reach his target score of 101 exactly in both legs!
